Reshaping Your Team: Turning a Negative into a Positive
Sponsored by Perfect Information
Presented by Sarah Fahy, Global Head of Library Services, Allen & Overy LLP
11 April 2014 [Friday] from 1-2 PM Eastern
Many of us in the library profession face the challenge of doing more with less. This presentation looks at the most unpleasant of challenges – restructuring an information team.
The current vogue for efficiency and implementation of outsourcing or off-shoring affects us all. Even if we are not threatened by alternative resourcing models, we must be vigilant and provide clarity as to our value and productivity. Change can also leave us disorientated and demotivated. How we view it – and use it – can determine our success. This presentation offers suggestions on how we might turn change into a positive, and then outlines a process that helps us review our activities objectively. Auditing our existing processes and adjusting them to ensure efficiency, we can then objectively engage with management to ensure we are relevant and our value recognised.
